Why? Because when you are the worlds police you do not have the man power to protect your on citizens and we all know it is much more important to police the world than protect the sheeple.

Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeu said the Obama administration’s decision to extend the deployment of 1,200 U.S. National Guard troops along the U.S. border with Mexico until Sept. 30 is “pandering” and that those numbers “fall far short” of what military power is needed to keep the country safe.
Babeu noted, for comparison, the 28,500 U.S. troops stationed in South Korea to help defend it against North Korean aggression; U.S. troops have been stationed in South Korea for 58 years.

Well, it's worked reasonably well at keeping the North Koreans out of the U.S.  Now we should give it a try on our southern border.

Oh, I don't know. If our troops were not on the Korean border they surly would be invaded. Our troops are not on our southern border and we are being invaded there!

My "streched" remark was made because a herd of Mexican coming across the border looking for work or packing drugs is not near the same as facing a large Army controlled by a dictator.That Army if turned loose would roll up South Korea in days. US Troops or no US Troops.
