Nope, the Huntsman is a 4473 firearm, and that would be a no-no! Now the Sidekick, on the other hand is doable, and I have a mock-up of that one. Unfortunately, that one is still on the back burner. It is one ugly duckling though!

I pulled the .45 from your opening clues. As NEF put out the .45 in there cataloge years ago but never came thru with it. As for the twist...no clue?

That's it, and it has a 1:20 twist. It will be getting a breech plug in a couple weeks, and I should be shooting it sometime in May, if all goes as planned.

It will be as close as I can come to exactly what I want. It will have some other custom features that I will share later.

Very cool .I looked hard at doing the Shikari with the 18 twist but just could not bring myself to modify it. But with your experiance with ML's you should get it right. Lord knows we can't wait for H&R to give us what we want

I have had this barrel for around a year now, long enough to forget how long. $:-\$ It is unfired, with shallow rifling, just how I like them. It should be able to shoot those big old conicals, and those light weight saboted bullets as well.

I already have a White and Knight with the 1:20 twist, so I know what to expect. I just wanted one in a Huntsman, and now I am going to have one.

I have over a dozen front stuffers, isn't it funny that I prefer my least expensive one over all the rest, when it is time to go hunting? I just love the way these Huntsmans handle, and shoot. My .50 cal Huntsman is still batting a thousand on deer and elk.

I know I sure like to shoot my old .45 Huntsman that I converted to BH209 but it has the 1-56 twist and there is only so much you can do with that. But yours with the 1-20 should go BIG BANG!! And it's Stainless Steel to boot

It's done! I'll try to get some pics up some time this week, after I get my scope mounted, and maybe even a range report.

It was worth the wait, I think you'll agree.

My turkey season started today, so I'll be trying to put an arrow through a big ol' gobbler for the next few days. Sorry, just bad timing.

Sorry, I started a new thread that has the pictures and a report. It is called "Stainless Super Smoker .45 Huntsman" down a couple spots. It has been there for over 2 weeks. I should have posted a link, so I will now. Here is a link.
