what this Colt 1911 might be worth?

A guy I work with just showed me a colt 1911 he is thinking about selling.  It appears to be a WW1 government issue that had been parkerized recenty.  It was in really good conditons.  He asked me if I wanted to buy it and how much I would give him for it.  I'm not sure what it is worth but I figure it is worth more than I could afford right now.  Can anyone tell me what they think it might be worth?

My :money:  Its only worth what ever he can get! If its been refinished it prettywell trashed as a collector. make him an offer,what you can afford. he can only say no! I have (over the years) caught some real deals . If hes in a tight , you might get it for next to nothing. Before you buy ,run the serial no to make shure that you 're not receiving stolen property.
