I think the K frame 357 magnum is the finest ever built. There will be the heretics and blasphemers that disagree of course.
The K frame has an outstanding smooth trigger that just gets better with age. They are big enough to fill the average hand yet small enough to be carried daily.
When I was sent over to Iraq in the first dust up, I took my Model 66 and a box of 357 -158 semi wadcutters. This was my OMG I am really in big trouble now gun. The men in the security detail remarked it was the same model that was in thier inventory that had just been recently removed.
When I was sent over in the second dust up, the guys in the security detail mentioned it was a fine gun and they remembered the same model being in thier armory years ago.
Mine is an inheritance from a retired El Paso deputy, and heck yes I'll give it up when you can pry it from my cold dead hand.
