Went shootin with my sister
« on: July 01, 2011, 02:51:33 PM »
My youngest sister is stonehearted in her want to get a CCW permit. Her husband on the other hand is one of the stonehearted lib anti's. She does not want him to know....so I dont know how thats gona play out. Annnny way she asked me to take her up to my range with several of my pistols AND a .22 rifle. She is anglin twards a .38 snubby so I took one up. But for the .22 rifle I took up my H&R .22 Mag sporster. She LOVED that rifle. I told her that when she opened the action that it really ejected the spent case forcefully but she still got the first one forehead center. Its not the first rifle she has fired. And now she WANTS one. I think a .38 snubby would be easier to hide from her husband......but women have their ways as I know from being married for 32 years of that stuff.

i respect your sister and what she wants to do, protect her family! thats what we all want to do.but ive also found that a man and a wife need to be on the same page in life.if she buys a gun he will throw a fit and it will be a fight.maybe a marriage ending fight.what yu dont understand is that hard core libs believe just as stongly the way they do as we believe the way we do.is there a way to bring him over to your side without steam rolling what he believes in?maybe shooting sum cans with him and gettin him a little more used to the idea?tone it as a recreational thing instead of a i want to kill intruders thing?if she sits down with him and explains how afraid she feels not being able to protect her family and he jus ignores it, then they wont last long anyway.just dont get to heavey handed.if she gives in to him to save the marriage then so be it.i dont agree with it in the least. but people do things for people they love.

+1 on all that.
Ask him to go plinkin' with you, and if he does, keep the calibers 'friendly; but when you ask, dont have a 'special' gleem in your eye!
