Handgonne Contest 2011 - 45 Handgonne
« on: March 22, 2011, 08:13:52 AM »
This is something new, I am going to try and make myself a handgonne.  After searching through my scrap metal piles I think I have found enough to make a .45 caliber handgonne.  The peice of old muzzleloader barrel (7") should save me some time.  Breach plug is a steel bolt, the tiller is walnut and the other fittings are brass.

Pile of scrap.

Drawing of what I hope to end up with.

Looks like you've got your stuff together!

I have an old .45-70 barrel section that I've been thinking of making a small cannon from.  Hand gonne could easily be the other part.

Keep the pix comming!

Fired it July 4th and could not belive how well it shot.
