LLoyd,

Tell me about your #1 in 257Bob? I think I read you were having accuracy issues.

Regards,

no accuracy issue with the 257. Its the best shooting 257 ruger ive owned. Its not a tack driver but will shoot most loads between an 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 for 5 shots at a 100 yards and if i only shot 3 shot groups id probably be telling you it shot an inch but i dont so i wont. It does tend to sting shots verticaly when it gets hot even after bedding it. But if you shoot slow it shoots well.  the only problem i had with it was when new it misfired and had to be sent back to ruger to have a new breach installed as the one that came it in was drilled off center for the firing pin. Did i tell you I really like this gun. I usually dont get excited about a centerfire rifle unless its a moa gun but this thing is just so cute and handy and im so pleased its not a 3moa gun like the other 3 257 rugers ive owned were that its probably destine to be one of my favorite guns. I couldnt think of a cooler whitetail gun unless ruger made the #1rsi in 250-3000 with blued steal and a walnut stock.
