You'll have a destroyed rifle most likely.

Spankys right.  The .500 would take a truck out without extra help.

With the right bullet it will probably penetrate the block pretty well. Even with a non ideal bullet though, it will probalby knock a hole in the block and have it spew its blood out and seize up pretty quick ;)

you need to man up and tote a .50 BMG, don't be a girl about it and use a muzzle brake and ear muffs either.  THAT'S a truck gun.  grown man or little girl, your call.   ;)

That would be fine for a pickup, but for a real truck you would need a 20 MM with the depleted uranium varmint loads.

abrahms are not legal for civilians unless virtually stripped, even then the armor and electronics aren't supposed to be sold or dismantled so you'd just get a shell, tracks and maybe drive train.

my thoughts are to just buy a stripped turret, fix it up again, and get that barrel working again, then mount it on a large flatbed trailer.  you could drive normal in a vehicle towing it, then park and set it up like a trailer.  unhitch, jack it up and block it up (so you can move around under the trailer), put siding on, get it aimed (how you'd manage that without mechanizing it and keeping it a simple "cannon" for legal purposes I don't know, other than putting a bead on it like a shotgun and probably welding up the breech to make it a muzzle-loader), and IF YOU ACTUALLY CONNECT, woo-hoo.  that vehicle would have to be dead after.. maybe two or three hits?   ::)  you might flip your trailer in the process, that's why you're under it and not on top- you don't get crushed if it happens.

top that people!

DEUCE .. you got me.  I don't have an answer to that.  I have seen a humvee that had claymores strapped to the side.  it was an up-armored humvee in iraq so the guys thought that to take out a suicide bomber AND clear out the crowd/debris/etcetera  they would use it as a last ditch effort to ward off any cars that sped towards them (the concussion would kill bystanders/rushers faster than multiple gunshot woulds, in a word instantly).  how the concussion wouldn't kill the occupants I do not know.  the idea was that the armor would take the hit, as a claymore is a HUGE shotgun shape charge that blasts forwards in a 90 degree arc a ways out but it DOES make a 50yds radius danger zone in the process.  to my knowledge this technique was disgraced due to one of the lateral claymores unintentionally detonating while driving on a bumpy road once (in an unpopulated stretch of road).  I didn't see it but I was in that battalion, good story.  anyways, THAT is the ultimate anti-vehicle device other than a missile.

spanky, those guys were nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
