Is this barrel sturdy enough to re-chamber to a 357 herrett???

I don't see why not. What do you mean by sturdy enough?

The barrel is, but it comes on an SB1 frame, I don't think I'd push the frame that hard unless you put the Herrett barrel on an SB2 frame, it runs about 45kcup compared to 38kcup for the 30-30 which it's based on.

I was thinking of getting it fitted to one of my sb-2 frames.  I know several people have the 357 herrett re-chamber and that's gonna be my next project.  I've got a contender in 357 herrett and love it...I think it'll make a great short rifle!
