Grips for a OM SBH. Will the NM work?
« on: July 05, 2011, 10:20:32 PM »
I have 2 OM Super Backhawks.  One has a chipped grip and I would like to replace it.  Most grips for sale on various boards don't differentiate between the old and new models.

Pete new models are different, and use blackhawk grips. Check out ruger forum.com and ask your??? there.

In general, YES!  The OM and "longer" barreled NM Supers share the square backed trigger guard grip frame.  The HUNTER model also uses same sized grips even though it has a round trigger guard.  The 4-5/8" and 5-1/2" NM Supers use the XR3-RED, standard Blackhawk, grip frame.
