I have an old tasco world class 4x that is one of my favorites. If I bought a new scope I would probably pick a redfield like the one you mentioned though. Hard to beat a Leupold in any class. I looked through a nikon buckmasters and it looked very nice. You can probably find a good scope in the classifieds. Good Luck to both you and her.
