May be relocating to this area in the near future. Wondering about the hunting in this area. Much public ground and small game hunting??

according to Bob Milek, an author of many years ago, the rabbits were thick around rocky areas and you sniped them with 22 rifles and handguns.  small game heaven.

Thermopolis sits in the south end of the Big Horn Basin, there are vast tracts of federal land running nearly into city limits. It's handy to the Big Horn , Absoroka, Bear Tooth and Wind River Mts.
The BigHorn River runs thru town and offers excellent fishing.
Wouldn't by any stretch be my choice of places to locate to, but there are people who do like it there.
In the 1920's "sheeple" was a term coined by the National Socialist Party in Germany to describe people that would not vote for Hitler. In the 1930's they held Hitler as the only one that would bring pride back to Germany and bring the budget and economy back.....

My daughter may take a nurse practioner job there and I may tag along. I would be interested in hearing your reasons for not wanting to live there.

There's just a ton of other places that don't stink (thermopolis gets its name from the sulphur hot springs ). It's really sort of isolated, in that there's no major shopping without driving over 100 miles, so you're stuck with what the locals have and charge you.
It's economy relies heavily on tourism and the high prices that goes with all that.
Nice place to visit once in awhile and take a swim in the hot springs, but its no place I have any interest in living.

 You're welcome.
It's a pretty place, but you'll need to take a look at it to see if it's somewhere you want to live or not.
My exbrotherinlaw was the vo-ag teacher there for several years, and he liked living there....

Well my daughter has taken the nurseing job. Looks like I may become a Wyo. resident sometime in the near future. Must say I won't miss central Il. Great people, but won't miss the corn & bean fields. Thanks to you'all for your input.

There are corn, bean and beet fields in the area. :D
For purposes of hunting and fishing license you have to live here a year to qualify to purchase resident licenses.

There is some good fishing in that area, if that interests you.
