Any help with the 'script' on my old blade?
It lies in the 'blood groove' and is very stylized, looks to be something like 'L o K Kaua Ara'
The handle is a nicely proportioned (better than so many of the new ones I see) piece of burly birch and there is some 'walking track' engraving on the ferrule.
The sheath has that cute little Finn 'curley foot' and a tasty stamped pattern and emblem.
I know, pics would be so helpful, but I aint there yet.........
Update 2-11-14:
I found a pic of a similar one online and a link to the maker info. Its a Lisakki Jarvenpaa of Kauhava, Finland, and by the features possibly made 1905-1939.
