Well today i shot my buddys and man the feel and the comb on that thumbhole stock lines your eye up just right.So long story short i will order me one on Monday i can get the stainless thumbhole with the one piece scope mount for 256.00.I have a knight disc ex. right now but the gun is heavy and a pain to clean.. My only ? does it come with the plug for the bh209.THANKS

No but if you follow these instructions you should not need the BH209 plug.

Bigblock454 i have on hand 230xtp and the 250ftx with the blach harv. crushed ribs and the black smooth sabots.IF you have some other combo i should try in this rifle i would like to here about them.THANKS

I sighted in a buddy's last week...Here is what I ended up with...
The load is 80grs FFF Goex with a regular green Harvester sabot and a .430 Hornady XTP 300gr hollow point...Range is 100 yards...

Some other sabot loads to try out that i know work.

240gr hornady xtp, MMP HPH-24 Sabot, 100gr Blackhorn209

260gr harvester scorpion PT Gold, MMP HPH24 Sabot and 100-110gr Blackhorn209.

If you need help finding BH209 just let me know as i have a guy that will sell it to you for $27 shipped to your door.

Well its on its way i also ordered 2 of the bps for the 209 powder.Big block455 what do you think about the 300gr. deep curls with the mmp hph 24 sabots.I want a bullet that will work for deer;hogs and elk.THANKS

should do great accuracy wise as well on elk,deer and hogs.

I'd start out at 100gr and see how she does.

Do you have to use the breechplug lube on this gun also i read that sense  i changed to the plug from western powders i need the tool to mate the plug to the gun i thought it just screwed in and out doesnt that mate it.

if its the original plug that came with the gun, its already been mated.  Normally you dont have to use grease on the plug but its always a good idea to just add a touch. The QRBP seals up all the blow by but the grease is there for "just in case" moment.

The plug is going to be changed out with the one made for bh209.So what does one do to mate the new one do i just screw it on.

the new plug should come with the little tool. You basically just tighten the new plug down tightly with the tool to shape the nose of the plug and then back it out. Easy as that.

Make sure you do adjust your head space though even with the new plug once its all set and squared away. The BH209 plug seems to have even loose primer fit. Some of my members are having to adjust their head space outwards of .018 to .022"

Thanks for the info. and the video on how to adjust the headspace.If i were to shoot a bullet without a sabot what do you reccomend for choices.Also as far as peepsights go what do you think is a good one the thing is i hunt in TX. mostly some in New Mexico and some in your state.Would really like to delet the sabot from the equation and scope.THANKS
