Is it unlawful to shoot a pneumatic/spring rifle within the limits and in your property. Or is it illegal no matter what. Thank you

I suggest you look up the local laws yourself and talk to both the county or states attorney as well as local police and/or sherrif in this matter.

It has been pointed out on other forums within GBO that legal advice is not discussed on the forums.  The local authorities have the final say in these matters anyway.

I couldn't give any legal advice related to your situation, but the law states (with very few exceptions) that apart from established ranges where it's permitted, shooting an airgun within L.A. City limits is considered to be the same as discharging a firearm.

L.A County is an entirely different story and one needs to look up the laws for the specific locality. I regularly (and legally) shoot airguns within L.A. county.
