The implosion of old media?

The web site has been advertising in my radio market and I followed up the on the ad. Apparently this is just a special interest group that wants to protect federal funding for television.
Just curious, if you watch TV, what's in it for you? (I mean just local TV, not Cable or DVDs and the like).
For me, TV became obsolete long ago. Last time I watched was 9/11. We still watch DVDs but don't have cable.
Even radio, which I used to listen to a couple of hours a day during commutes has become obsolete for me. I only heard the ad because we still have an old radio in the kitchen that I turn on while washing dishes. I want to replace that radio with something that allows me to listen to podcasts. Most of my listening has been replaced by podcasts. I haven't listened to radio in my car in over a year.

Dont watch sitcoms, movies, shows or news on tv. Cant stand them.
Do watch history channel, discovery, military channel etc. If of interest.
If not for the wife, there would be no tv.
