S&W Bodyguard 380

Saw one of these yesterday at one of the local "CANDY SHOPS" and kind of liked it.
I also looked at the Ruger LCP.
Both of them have very long trigger pulls but seem to be well made little pocket guns.
The sights on the S&W are a lot nicer.
Both come with built in lazar sights also.
Could be useful at times.
Over all I think I like the S&W better.
I came home and did a little research on the S&W and see that they had a rash of problems with them when they first came out.
Everything from FTF to non extraction from the chamber to lazar buttons that came loose along with trigger problems.
There were reports that the newest ones being MFGed (serial # EAJ-xxx or later) aren't having any problems.
Does anyone have a newer one and are you having any problems with it?

Bringing this one back around because I'd like to know too. Same deal saw it in a local gunshop, wondering about reliability and the little .380 cartridge.

.380 is down in power from a 9MM luger.  Many LE agencies went away from the 9MM Luger because it lacked power.  There is new .22Mag ammo that claims power near the .380.  I own a .380 (not a smith), and would not want it for PD.  With the right ammo I would carry my Glock 19 9MM. 

That said, my pistol coach recommends the most powerful gun the shooter can reliably handle.  And .380s are quite concealable as a rule.  If it were all I had I would use it.
