Harrington & Richardson 12 Ga. Single Barrel

Hi everyone,
I'm a new member and this is my first post. I have become interested in the old H&R guns (pre-1986) since I recently acquired a Model 1908                RE-ENFORCED BREECH 12 Ga. Single Barrel. The serial # of this piece is A3687
which I am told by 32Magnum was manufactured in 1940. The gun is tight and
complete except that it is missing its' snap-on forend. I disassembled the gun
and the only surprise was a broken trigger spring. Numrich had a replacement
spring for a couple of bucks.
Anybody have any ideas on finding a forend? I have a nice block of walnut and
can easily make the forearm if I could only get the forend harware which would include the forend spacer and the spring-loaded forend catch assy..
I checked with Numrich and they don't have the parts.

Hi Paul, welcome aboard and welcome to the the addiction as well. These fine and fun little guns are addicting for sure. You might try posting a WTB (want to buy) in the H&R classified section. Also I have seen both complete snap on forearms and the metal parts alone listed on E-bay.
If you go to E-bay search for both H "and" R and New England Firearms as well. You might even do a search there for snap on forearm...All the best, and stop by often, when your here your among friends....<><.... :)

Thank you for the reply and the very nice welcome. I appreciate your suggestion to check e-bay for the parts I need. I could probably have one of my machinist buddies make them but would prefer to find them if possible. I hope we can stay in touch and I will let you know my progress in reviving this old gun. . . .
