RCBS Electric Case Trimmer

After switching back to loading rifle cases, I am tired of trimming.  I was thinking about getting the motor for my RCBS case trimmer.  This thing looks nice but complicated and big, it even feeds the cutterhead.  Is anyone using it?  How does it work overall?

I bought one a couple of years ago and other then the physical size of the machine to deal with it works fine. If you hate trimming like me this is like taking a big weight off your shoulders. It is just at accurate as a good hand trimmer and way faster.

I agree with Whopper Stopper. The RCBS case trimmer cuts the time on trimming chore at lease in half, no pun intended. There might be better case trimmers on the market but I have found the RCBS trimmer to be quite adequate for the price and what it does.

...I have the manual Trim Pro and really like the cartridge retainer plates..they are fast to exchange cartridges.....I looked at the power attachment and it was too much money for me to test....I took a replaceable -rechargeable battery electric screwdriver and mounted it on a couple of flat bottom "U" mounts with the screwdriver riding level in the U and put a nut on the trimmer handle and a socket in a flexshaft in the screwdriver to turn the trimmer......two flat guide runners keep the screwdriver mount straight and I mounted all of it on a board.....the high torque screwdriver turns slow and steady and I can keep a charged battery on stand by......I made a Tee grip below the release handle on the trimmer that lets me grab the tee grip and the trimmer release handle and squeeze....releasing the cartridge and ready for the next cartridge.......it is heavy enough to sit in your lap and let you trimm at somewhere other than the bench and sits on the bench without moving if you prefer.........made from scrap lumber and new screwdriver with spare battery and charger.....40$ and some time....been going for three years now and still works great....add another screwdriver and deburr/champer tools,primer pocket uniformer and the adaptors to fit them to the screwdriver and save the hand cramps........HTH..good luck and good shoooting!!!!

Could one of you two that have the RCBS trimmer give me the length and width of the trimmer so I could see if it would fit in my reloading cabinet.  By the way, I have the old trimmer with the collets so just measure to the end of the trimmer and not that long handle.
