Hollow camo stock

I have a 22-250 handi with a camo stock. I never liked the hollow sound you get from the stock. So I got a7/8 plastic tube put it inside the stock down to the bolt head and filled the stock with foam insulation. No more hollow drum sound.

That'll work fine if you don't fill it completely up, but the expanding stuff can ruin the recoil pad and maybe even the stock, don't ask how I know!!  I prefer to stuff closed cell foam blocks in mine instead, they're removable if you need to and no danger of ruining a stock, been doing it for years. Foam packing peanuts work too, they're just a lot messier.

There's one use that ain't messy.  I used a bunch of styrofoam popcorn to insulate the attic of my shop.  Dumped it from boxes into garbage bags, hauled it up and spread it around.  Recycles the stuff and it's free.  Goatwhiskers
