I have a Marlin Model 200, 12 gauge shotgun, serial number KM1239XX. I have a Handi barrel chambered in .223 Remington that fits this receiver perfectly.
 
Does anyone have knowledge of the Marlin Model 200 fitting Handi barrels ? I would certainly be hesitant to fire this gun in this configuration; however, you could not ask for a better fit and lock up.

I'm shooting a Handi 12 guage barrel of modern mfg. on my Central Arms 20 ga. frame from the 1940's.  If it fits, it fits......... :D

Sounds like the 200 is an SB-1 receiver so probably would not be good a candidate for a 223 Rem barrel.

Just re-read your post.  Musta' been in a coma.  Never use a center fire on any shotgun receiver!!!!Bad mojo!!!
 
I was thinking of the reverse...the shotgun on the centerfire...

Found an answer @ Wiki
 According to them it was made by H&R for Marlin and sold by K Mart in 2000.A dealer exclusive like the Talon's I guess. Truly one to leave a a  shotgun or use only low pressure pistol rounds.

BAD MOJO INDEED..... I have a friend who put  RIFLE BARREL ON A SHOTGUN FRAME and after several rounds the receiver failed... as in blew apart in his hands. after loosing 2 fingers and a nasty scar on his face it was a hard lesson to learn , but he still shoots his handy rifles and shotguns today.
