An odd request..

Hello Guys, and gals,
  Im looking for a reload of sorts to make a chain or necklace. Im wanting like 243 or possibly 223 with either a spent primer or no primer and no powder, preferrably a nickel case but brass will do! . Id like to get 2-3 of em and will pay for it, let me know what you have if your willing to do this.

I would check a local gun show, even thou the rounds would be inert the post office may give the sender some trouble, I have read post on other forums that mailing ammo can be a real pain.

they're just pieces of metal.  no need to tell the USPS what's in the box.

yeah no need to tell the PO if the thing is totally inert.  If' I knew where to find some nickel .223 I'd do it for you. Don't think I've ever seen nickel .223.  Good luck.
Oh - do you have a preference for bullet type?

I have a couple nickel plated .30-30 cases that I could stuff a bullet into.  These are Winchester 94   Centennial cases.  I only have a couple that I picked up.  If I had loaded rounds, I wouldn't part with them.

If you wanted to make up your own, Midway sells nickel plated cases and I think you can order them 20 at a time.

A brass bullet case on a necklace is going to leave a black mark/stain on the neck and/or chest of its wearer.  Brass deteriorates when exposed to human body chemistry.  Try rubbing a brass case around in your hand for say 8 hours, the length of time you would wear a necklace.  Where you hold  and rub it will be black.  Reloaders, brass handlers, jewelry makers, and brass jewelry wearers have found this to be true for centuries.

Also, there is a thriving trade in spent and new cases sent through the USPO.  There are NO RESTRICTIONS on mailing brass, except possibly to keep it in its packaging.  There are restrictions and PENALTIES on mailing primed and loaded ammunition.

Smallest nickel case I have is a 7-30 Waters.  Don't know if I have any empties, but I need to shoot some soon.  Would these work?  Same case as the 30-30 someone else offered.

I have 1x fired nickel 223. cases i'll deprime what you want.

I met up with an old friend at the range sunday and he fixed me up!  Went from the range to his house an we loaded em up.  Thanks again! Dave
