Ruger M77 Accuracy
« on: November 26, 2011, 03:56:41 AM »
Hey Guys,

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! I'm just wondering about the M77's accuracy these days. I see some good deals on them and and looking at getting a new rifle for big game. Anyone have any experience w/ their .300 win mag, .280 rem, etc?

I'm also looking at the Remingtons, Brownings, Tikkas, etc

Can't speak on the new models, never had or wanted one.   But the earlier tang safety 77's I've had were easily good to go for hunting right out of the box.   Favorite was my '74 270 Win 77R, took a lot of mule deer and a few elk with it.    Don't hunt BG anymore, but still have it.

Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

I am also interested in that question concerning the 44 mag model.  How well do they shoot?  How are the triggers?  Do they still make the walnut/blued model?
