tikka m-695
« on: August 01, 2011, 08:09:24 AM »
Hello
I just got a Tikka m-695 in a 30-06. Wood stock. It has a Redfeild 3x9 illumanator scope with the accutrack range finder scope.
The rifle is in mint shape. What do you you think about the tikka m-695.  I had a tikka t-3, and never really like it. ( too much plastic )
Is the m-695 a better made rifle.  MIKE

I've got one of those exact ones, a M695 in 30-06.  I REALLY like it.  I did add a pachymr decel pad as the factory one was a little thin.  With handloads, Sierra 165 SBT, it will shoot less than an inch all day long.  The M 695 has the better feeling stock, with the palm swell, and IMHO is a better gun than the T3.  I have one of those in 243.
I think you will really like your 695.  They are getting hard to come by and more expensive.
Best of luck,

+1 on the 695.  Mine is a deluxe version in .270 with the nice wood.  It has only been to the range a few times because I don't want to scratch it up.   I was skeptical of the factory rings but it holds a zero well and shoots nice groups with a Burris 3x9 B-plex.
