My "Tube" Family
« on: August 18, 2011, 08:04:15 AM »

My first tube, by Ed Hart, sorta got him started on this road when I asked him to make this.

Then Ed gave me this one.

One Ed rejected and I finished.

One I started with a 1" bore, not happy with it, going to remove the trunnions and do some more machining. Trunnions removed and
re-machined into a thunder mug to get rid of my mistake.

And my latest.

Isn't it JUST? I have been known to pit 2 grains of FFF powder in it and a patched BB (the REAL BB, not a Bowling Ball) and shoot cans in the garage when I can't make it to the range.

Good show, Ivar; thanks for posting the vids.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.
