Skeleton Stock M77 MKII
« on: August 16, 2011, 01:07:42 PM »
Hi all, this is my first post here.,I traded for an m77 all weather in 25-06 earlier this year. It has the zytel skeleton stock and according to the s/n was manufactured in 1999. I really think I'm going to like this rifle.100gr core-lokts group just over  an inch at 100 yards.
Now for my question. I was told that these rifles were made using the magnum barrel blanks. Does anyone know if this is true? The barrel is very thick where it joins the receiver. Also any other info anyone has on these rifles would be appreciated. Love em, hate em? Let me know.

If you look at the current Hawkeyes--the .25-06 is built just like the magnums---so I'd have to say yes.
