Could anyone recomend an aftermarket butt pad for Ruger Hawk-eye?
Looking for a buttpad that closely fits a Ruger Hawkeye

I would go on line and see what Limbsaver had for a prefit . I have two on my tikka's as well as the remington and am very pleased with the product .
Another company you may also try is Pachmayr. they make a good pad also. I see they list one for the Mark 2 , but now there should also be a listing for the Hawkeye too .

Pachmayr sells pre-fit Decelerator recoil pads for Rugers. I usually fit my own but I once bought a pre-fit for a synthetic stock and it fit fine. They come in leather-like textured finish or basket weave. Black or brown.

I find a lot of people will resist to putting a soft reciol pad on any rifle they have .

To me it is a no brainer .
If your bothered by the reciol of the said rifle , your not going to enjoy shooting it , rather you probably going to learn to shut your eyes or pull your face off the stock not knowing when you fire the gun .

And that my friend is a hard thing to unlearn . As a young shooter it cost quite a few bricks of .22 rimfire to get over the reciol of an 'o6 rifle .

I have put quite a few Sims pads n different rifles.  After awhile, they soften and get sticky.  I just spray them 3 coats of matt poly and they are fine.  FYI  They are great pads.
