For the last several years a company called  "The Freedom Group" has been buying up American gun and ammunition manufacturers.http://www.freedom-group.com/         Some of these companies are:

Some people worry that Freedom Group is going to control most of the firearms companies in the United States. Of course, If you control the manufacturers you can decide not to sell to civilians, or, you can raise the prices to ridiculous levels or you can make the supply of guns and ammo scarce - all sorts of logjams.       What a perfect way to control America's guns!

If you do some digging you will see that The Freedom Group is owned by a Wall Street investment company called "Cerberus Capital Management".       "Cerberus" in the epic book "The Inferno" by Dante Alighieri, is a three-headed demon hound (from Roman mythology) that guards the Gates of Hell to prevent those damned souls who have just crossed the river Styx, from escaping back to the world.       Investor GEORGE SOROS owns Cerberus!

Besides creating a possible monopoly and that soros is a big anti gun nut?? POWDERMAN.

Soros doesn't own Cerberus. He might have some money invested in it but no one person owns the huge conglomerate. You should check your sources.

Still it does bother me that one company any company is gaining such a large share of the gun manufacturing in the US.

Not so long ago it was publicized widely that the CEO of Cerberus is a gun ower and shooter, maybe also a hunter. Soros is not in control there. That's not to say that folks like him aren't majority stock holders or that they might not become such.

It sure would hurt the cause of Freedom in this country if some antigun group could buy up all the gun makers wouldn't it? I like seeing the companies separate and owned by different groups of stock holders.

Not suprising at all that soros would have stock in cerebus. Even being anti gun he's only in it for the money, and money has been his habit since youth, when he was paid by nazis to round up his fellow Jews. soros often takes both sides, its called hedging. Even king george had money on both sides of the American revolution.

At least according to Wiki "The Freedom Group" has been around and involved in firearms since 1816. So nothing to too new there. Cerberus has several prominent republicans that are part of management such as Dan Quayle and  John Snow who is the current chairman. He was the treasurer Secretary under George H Bush. If this group is threatening gun ownership the republicans should watch their own hen house better.
