Springfield Armory XD-9 Sub-compact
« on: July 27, 2011, 05:46:32 AM »
Just purchased a Springfield Armory XD-9 sub-compact. Seems to be a good little gun. Anybody out there have much experience with this gun. I've only put 30 rounds through it so far but I can get 2" 5-shot groups at 7 yds.

The older I get....the better I was.

I've run about 250 rounds of wwb and roughly 40 rounds of various hp ammo I had laying around through the one the wife carries.  Used both the short and a couple long mags. All went swell. I'm not exactly a fan of the trigger but by the end of the day was used to it, and shot ok with it.

I recently bought a used one from a local firearms instructor, it was his personal gun. I am sure it has a lot of rounds through it. But I also know it is broken in. Haven't had it long, so only been to the range once. Ran 100 rounds through it absoluely no problems. My son has had a full size for several years and he has had no problems. He and some buddies were out on our farm and ran into a 250 lb. hog. He killed with his 9mm. Not recomending hog hunting with a 9, but it worked for him.
