hollow base 45 BP bullit in 45/410

I have an NEF handie in 45/410 that I want to load a 45cal 295 gr Lee hollow base bullit thats for my flint lock, but I have paper patched it and shot it from my 4570 with great results what I want to know is do YOU think it will exspand to fill the groves in the barrel without haveing to patch it with paper? I have 410 mag-teck brass and 444 marlin brass I have real 3f black powder and pirodex, H110, 4895, uniuqe, and cartrage grade BP to, so any load info to get me started would be nice

That's a rifle bullet sized for .457-.458 bores.  It might work in the .452 colt barrel, but you'd have to run it through a lube die and it might deform some if made from soft lead.  You might look at the .451 Improved Minie Ball mold though to get a heavier slug or the 300 gr. lee, although the latter 300 grainer isn't hollow base.

On the same site, the 300 gr. bullet is # C452-300-RF under molds with pictures.    Good luck!

No its a muzzle loader bullit I think it mikes out at 451 shoots great from my flintlock and if I paper patch it its very accuate from my marlin 4570, I want to load it in my 444 cases for the 45/410 It has a hollow base thats why I think it should work by exspanding to fill the grooves. I want to use Lee alox lube and no paper.
 
Also any powder charges I might try from the list Of powders in the first post??

Gotcha.  Well, to plink with I use light Unique loads in .45-70 like 10gr and no filler.  Might be good to test with.  I would be very careful with the H110, because it's a big case and H110 is sensitive to low load levels.  Since there are probably no books with safe loads listed, the second choice would be the 3f or cartridge black powder.  I've heard best results come with the HB using a grease cookie below the base or an over powder wad.  Just make sure case is full with no air when you seat the bullet and you should be good to go.  Sorry not at all familiar with 4895, so someone else may come along to fill that void.  Sorry about my misunderstanding.  I was thinking of the 405HB mold from lee and didn't read your post well I guess.  8(  Good luck with the development.  There are a few posts in the H&R/NEF centerfire area concerning the .45/.410 loads also.
