YEP, me too. I don't believe for a min that the druggies only make up 2 % of the welfare folks. I used to work maintenence at 2 different apt complexes, all were low income and sect 8 housing, all drawing welfare chks. The % of druggies and alcohol abusers was at LEAST 60+ % and that was 20 years ago, I'm sure it's much higher now. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

Yep, only the severly stupid or mentally retarded would believe that only 2% of the parasites on welfare are on drugs.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

Powderman, since you live in Florida maybe you have more information on welfare drug testing in Florida. It is my understanding that the testing started this last July. It is also my understanding that only 2% have tested positive, well under the estimated national estimated usage. At that rate it appears to me to just be another conservative move to snoop into private lives which I thought conservative values were against.
GuzziJohn

What percentage of the welfare folks have tested, since it started last July? Does anyone think the drug heads in general would volunteer to test first? ::)
The stats won't matter until everyone tests.

Nomo,

Statistics rarely add up right.  I was only putting out most recent info i could find to show how much of a parasite the welfare bums are.  Otherwise, all conservatived here are correct in saying cut them off.

The reason I cannot give a source for the 2% is because I heard it on a radio newscast while driving. Could have been ABC, CBS, I don't know. The news said that welfare applicant testing started in July. If correct either users are not applying or it is a small percent. That was why in all seriousness I asked Powderman if he knew any more about this that could confirm or deny it since he lives in Florida.

Apparently comes form a Tampa Tribune article.

The Tampa Tribune reports that the Department of Children and Families says about 2 percent of applicants are failing the test and another 2 percent are not completing the application process for unspecified reasons.

Which proves ONCE AGAIN that you don't read the posts or just fail to comprehend what you do read. I have never been to Florida let alone live there. For the last time, I live in KENTUCKY and have no idea what you were talking about. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

  Just think a bit...
2% of all welfare cases failing the drug test is quite high !  the drug testing is done at random as with other, workplace testing.  If for instance, only 4% are actually caught up in the random tests, that would mean that HALF of welfarer are on drugs...

The welfare parasites in Florida also use their checks to buy booze and scratch-off lottery tickets.  Perhaps the welfare drug test screeners should check for alcohol too.  I still say cut 'em off and make parasites get a job.

When was the last time anyone got a job from a welfare recipient?

Way to go Michigan. Stop the cycle. At 4 years when good life runs out they can move to the next state so on and so forth. Its good for 200 years, then find work. Yeh right. If i have to pass a pee test to work for my money they can too if they think their going to get some of it! I hate professional politicians that retire on more than i make AND they take it from me.
