25.06 and Hornady SST
« on: November 14, 2011, 06:42:24 AM »
Found a factory round that my rifle really likes alot ,Hornady 117gr sst in 25.06. What kind of results have you folks had with these bullets on whitetails. I was reading that some of the lighter sst's had a problem with coming apart on impact. What ye say? Yes, no, maybe?                 update- Sorry ,I guess this should be over on the small bore forum,so I put it over there..don't know how to delete this

No personal experience with them but a friend who lives in PA uses them in his .257 Weatherby and he is satisfied with them in that rifle with even more velocity than your .25-06 so I don't see why they shouldn't do fine for you.
