700 action price??

My Father-in-Law passed away and he had a 700 short action, I'm guessing in the 308 family. I asked a question here about having a custom maded, but I've decided that it's not going to happen.
My question is what's a fair price to ask, it's just the action, bolt and trigger? It looks new so I don't think a barrel has been on it.

 Midway has sold 700 actions only in the recent past, just over $400 as I recall. Back when I was having 2 custom guns made with a 700 action I just bought 2 SPS guns for about $450 to get the actions, & parted out the rest. The barrels & rest don't bring much of course.

   If you have everything in tact you should be able to move it around $400 I would think.

If it is just the action only, you might not get as much as if you have the bottom metal.

thanks. It has the trigger, floorplate, etc. Just needs a barrel and stock I think.
