Turkey hatch
« on: September 14, 2011, 04:42:58 AM »
Anyone out there in Southern Indiana noticed the turkey hatch this year? It seems it was about a month or two later than normal. I'm seeing little turkeys running around in the woods that can't be over a couple months old. That being said it appears that the whitetail young were born a little early this year.  They seem bigger than normal this time of the year. Anyone else notice this?

The fawns seem normal to me but I had 11 turkeys in the back yard two days ago. Five of them were small young ones. At the time I thought that they may have been a second brood due to the flooding and rains last spring.

Turkeys I have not seen many. They use to run behind the house but the neighbor kids 4 wheelers trails have disrupted them to many times. Think they moved >:(

Fawns I am still seeing spotted ones. I thought they were a little late.
