Hey all!  I was just curious of the DISC owners out there, how often do you take the barrel from the stock when you clean?  After trying many different "cleaning" ideas, I have gone to hot soapy water and haven't taken the stock off in a while.  I try to clean as much of the outside and the stock area as I can with the hot water and TC #11 bore cleaner and then wipe down with some anti-rust stuff my dad and grandfather use.  I'm just wondering if everyone takes the two apart every time, every X number of times, or only once or twice a year when they do a thorough cleaning?  When you do take the barrel and stock apart, how do you make sure that the screw is tightened back to the same amount as it was before you cleaned?  Thanks in advance.
Aaron

I use to disassemble mine every time when I was using Pyrodex. Now that I use 777 I only disassemble after I have been hunting in wet weather. Use to use hot soapy water now just use the knight premoistened cleaning pads for clean up.
