i jus gotta tell yall this...
today a very nice fella came to my door and asked if he cud pick my brain for a lil'while.
since maw-maw was shop'n and grandkids was in sunday school, i tolt him ta come on down to tha shop.....which is closed on sunday, but for gud intent.. it can be "open house" ;D
anaway, he hada '05 model-06 would not hit a 1'x1' target @50yrds
it looked like it was never shot, and he tolt me he bought it new in 05 and only shot it 2-3 times.
i got my personal load data book out and wipped him uppa load that shud get him on paper.
after a check out of his glass, that was all gud !!
he shot 3 and 1 hit tha paper.... gave him 2 other different loads to check for groups
he finally got on paper 3 shots ina row....GOOD SIGN !!!
then i took his shooter inside for examination. found several discrepancies of lust !!!
polished tha crown, inletted tha forend and added an o-ring.
now he is getting 5 shot group within 2" @100 yrds which is factory good  ;D
with my handloads. i gave him the formula and he started to write me a check for services
rendered. i told him, this is a rest day and tha lord see's it that way.
then he told me that he will be here for general gun opening nov.-15
so i invited him and his family back to tha swamp to hunt with us this nov.
today was another good day.... and i'm glad i wasa part of it ;D

Opening day of bow season it is going to be a Parker crossbow. I don't have time to practice as much with the Matthews as I need to to be consistent.

The rest of the season after ML comes in, it will be the CVA Optima with 110 grains BH209 and a 250 grain Thor lit by a CCI Magnum 209. If I go intentionally to kill hogs and fill the freezers, the BAR 30-06 will get the call with Hornady 150 grain Interlocks at 3000 fps. The week after Christmas is my doe week and it will be the 22 Hornet Topper 158 that gets the call.

Martin Cheetah.  Shoots better at 60 yds than several 700-1K$ bows I have owned in the past.  Beman ICS 340's and Rage 2 blades leading the  way. 
T/C Impact.  150gr 777 with CCI primers and T/C ShockWave bonded core boolits.
NEF .270 with 130 gr Remington Corelokts.  MOA all day long.
