Just got back from British Columbia on a backcountry backpack hunt in the alpine for goat. My son was the hunter and he bagged a 9 1/4 inch Billy that scored out at 48. That will make both the official BC record book and the Mountain Hunter record book. I was along as a packer. Without any question, this was the hardest hunt I have ever been on. Those mountains are steep and tuff to move through. Seemed like we were on the go all the time. We hunted from sun up to sun down every day. 4 nights in the back country got it done. Some of the most amazing mountains you will ever see. We saw eveything except a griz. Even ran upon a wolf. Got in some salmon fishing after the hunt back at the main lodge. Here are some pics.
