.35 Remington w/180 gr. hard cast load

I was talking to someone about this upcoming deer season. The topic of rifle/round obviously came up. He's been using a lever in .35 Remington with .357, 180 grain hard cast bullets...same ones he loads for his handgun. He loads them by the hundreds and shots them all year in his revolver and rifle. Come deer season, he's ready and needs no extra practice. I didn't get the exact load. But, he did say it flies at 1,800 fps from the muzzle out of the rifle. Sounds like a great little setup for deer season.


Has me thinking about a new rifle/caliber...no that I need one. BUT...

I use a 180 grain hard cast for my 14" Contender barrel in .35 Remington..very accurate..

i have  185 WFN  with and without checks


shoots great in my  38s and 357  rifle and  revolvers


but  tried them in the  35 rem yet.....can't wait


would prefer more weight for the 35 rem......200 to 220


but as long as i have the 185gr and its shoots so good in everything else
may as well try them
