thinking about a Communist .30 cal

My local toy store has a couple of Norinco Chinese SKS rifles in excellent shape, but minus the folding bayonet.    Bores are perfect with no visible metal defects.   Standard ugly yellow wood stocks.     
Toy store is asking $395 each for them. Is this out of line or reasonable?

Too much, espicially without the bayonets. They are fine rifles though.

The prices have been climbing up lately.  My local gun shop has sold them for $500 recently.  If yours is in excellent condition and it looks like it hasn't been fired much it may be worth a closer looksee.  I would make a lower offer like $250 and haggle.  My norc's shoot awesome.  Don't underestimate these little commie guns there awesome shoters.  Bill

thanks for the input!   I didn't get a chance to go back over the weekend.   I will try one night this week.
