Barska spotting scope vs. Bushnell?
« on: July 10, 2011, 12:28:54 PM »
I am looking at a Barska spotter 20-60x60mm with stand and case- their Colorado model. Anyone have experience with it? Will use it at the range for 100-200 yd. targets. The other option is a Bushnell Sentry 18-36x50 with stand for about twice the money at Sportsmans Guide.

I picked up one of the Barska's last summer , other than the focus ajustment being a bit touch-ee its not bad , I have no problem seeing 22 cal bullet holes @ 200y and even little 17 cal @ 100y .

Good to know Stimpy. Is the stand rickety or solid?  I generally like Bushnell products but for this range use I'd rather save the money.

I have a Barska that maxs out at 36x.  Spent less than 100 bucks.  Used it today at the range, worth every penny and more.

I am very pleased with the Barska for range use, and the table top stand is adequate for my needs. The focusing dial is a little touchy but once I got used to it its ok.

I have the 20x20x60 Blackhawk. Absolutely flawless. About 5 or 6 years old. No problem. Got it at good price. $80 if I remember correctly.
 OOPS. That's a 20x60x60                                                  Jim
