lyman case trimmer??

I bought a lyman case trimmer and case neck uniformer. what i have run into is when trimmed the cases did not come out straight. after looking close when i tighten down the case clamp i can see the cutter shaft move which makes me think some thing is wrong, if i let the spin of the cutter tighten the case clamp it seems to come closer and if i loosen the case clamp while the case is spinning i cant find any crooked cases but it seems like a lot of trouble, is this the way this thing should work? i could not find a manual or instructions only a lyman catalog so i don't know. i am now scared to try the neck uniformer, if it won't cut a case straight what is it going to do to my case necks.
has anyone seen this? know how to fix it?

I have lyman trimmer,   when you put case into holder do not tighten untill you put mandrel into case mouth & then secure lightly..is not the best trimmer but work ok with care....
