Talk me into or out of a Jeep Wrangler

This one is like mine, I have owned Jeeps since I got my drivers license because.

They are good for hunting and keep you dryer and warmer than an ATV.
You can carry two gallons of milk back from the store without putting one under your coat like on a motorcycle.
You love to wake up to 10" of new snow.
I get 15-17 mpg back and forth to work.
Be careful looking at used one as they have a tendency for the frames to rust from the inside out.
The 258-252 6cyl  engines are tanks. (Get one with fuel injection)

I bought this one a year ago and it had 40,000 miles on it for $15,900. I got a heck of a deal. Fully loaded 05 Rubicon Unlimited. It has front and rear lockers and goes like a billy goat. I have a hard top, rag top and a safari top with it. I have always wanted one since my first vehicle but something always stood in the way. Well I finally got it. It gets wheeled but still looks like new. I wouldn't trade it for anything!

  my son bought a 05 rubicon for his first new ride. i told him i would sign for anything that he wanted that what he got. i dont thing he will ever be without one. bought my wife a 2000 cherkee and i have never worried about her getting home in bad weather

I cannot speak directly to the Jeep Wrangler....But I can about the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
 
My wife was looking for a good solid used vehicle to replace her Saturn View that she gave to our daughter. I told her that our son would be driving soon, so why not buy a vehicle for him, that they could both share until he graduates from high school, then she could buy a newer vehicle for herself. She thought it was a great idea...
 
Long story now shortened: She found a beautiful '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee on craigslist, but the mileage was a little high. So she took it to our mechanic to go over it. Turns out he's a Jeep-Head, and could not believe how good of condition that vehicle was in. Bottom line...Jeeps are awesome products. My wife loves "Her" Jeep Grand Cherokee. I guess in a few years, we'll have to find a vehicle for my son when he is old enough to drive....listening to him, it had better be a Jeep.
