Encore Rifle in 260 Remington for Whitetail Deer in upstate NY
« on: September 29, 2011, 10:31:55 AM »
I have purchased and broken in a new MGM 260 Remington 24" barrel on my Encore.  Handloads using Nosler 130 Gr Accubond and Nosler 125Gr Partition bullets at near the Nosler Reloading Manual accuracy load yield groups of less than 1" @ 100 yds from a bench.

Has anyone had field experience with either of these bullets on game animals?  I enjoy tinkering with reloads and have also purchased, but not loaded up Sierra 120Gr Prohunters for the 260.

Any feedback will be most appreciated.  Thanks in advance.  Rol

Either of the bullets you have loaded for will do the job very well, if you do your part.  I am a big fan of the 260 and the 125 Partition and the 130 Accubond are 2 of the best you can load for.
Go with confidence.  :)
