  It would be fired from a 35cal rifle. Any 357 Mag, Max or 35 Rem single-shot could be rechambered. It's name is a secret.

So, the conversation goes something like this in deer camp:

Other Hunter:  I don't think I've ever seen a round like that. What are you shooting ?

Me:  Its a .35 Caliber Dinny.

Other Hunter:  Really ?

Me:  Yep.

Other Hunter:  Hummm......

Dinny, how much volume have you gained going to the 356/307 case compared to the volume of the .35 RSR?  The newer wildcat does seem to have a little more volume.  Of course you cannot load it with your existing .35 rem dies (slightly shortened of course).  44 Man

Considering both cartridges were shortened to the same length and still relatively close to their original parent case, the differences can be measured from the original specs.

Mark the barrell 35RSR
The reamer is at 4D and the brass and dies are on ebay.

  You have a good point there. I'm doing some research now to see where the differences are between the two. I'll tell you this though. I don't wanna form any Herrett brass...   What a PITA!

It isn't that bad, trim with an electric drill and size it.
At the very least, you can have a lot of load data for starting out.

It's been reported that the new cartridge based on a shortened .356 Win is about 350fps faster than the Herrett when both were loaded with a 180gr SS-PB.

I have "no dog in this fight". I don't ever expect to have to comply with this law.
That said, when I see 250 fps faster than the Maxi, and then later 350 fps faster than the Herrett, I start wondering who has a thumb on the scale.

I thought the same thing at first, but I'm pretty sure that the 250 fps faster than the MAX was a guesstimate. And the 350FPS faster than the Herret was an actual velocity test. Although, I am wondering if it was a misprint and it should have said 350 FPS faster than the MAX (not the Herret).

Also don't forget.. Both the Maxi and the Herrett are PISTOL cartridges. Meaning most all the data in manuals are from short barrels. MOST orig maxi data was even form a vented barrel. While the Herrett was likely a 14" Contender. So comparing them at face value to a rifle cartridge makes it kinda moot...
 
Just saying, be sure all numbers came from like length barrels...
