Well with both RCBS and Redding I have never paid for replacement or shipping. However with Lee I had to pay shipping and replacement cost.
Maybe you havent noticed but their products ,are IMHO and others ,three times better. and worth the price and up grade.
So I would suggest the consumer paid the cost. And yes I know I did also , but As both parts and shipping cost go up I did not have to absorb inflation  ;)

Shootall, if you've had problems with Lee, I can understand.  But, as I said a couple of times, I've been using Lee products with zero problems for the last 25+ years.  So, I've not paid for shipping, replacement or 3 times as much.   ;)

That's great . I just think both sides should be stated. I doubt I paid 3 times as much either . Although I have not priced Lee in several years when I did I was suprised to see how little I had to pay to up grade to better tools with RCBS, Redding, Lyman and Pafic/Hornady.  ;D ;) ;)

Well, by the time you pay for a separate shell holder, maybe it's only 2 1/2 times as much.  Well, except for Redding.  That's probably 3 1/2 times as much.    ;)

I have been using Lee products for the last 18 years. I have no reason to complain and I see no reason to "upgrade". Lee does make a few things that I dont like-I despise the scale they make. I dont like the "perfect" powder measure and I do not like thier case trimmers- so I use a Lyman 500 scale, I either use the Lee auto disc powder measure for handgun loads or weigh individual charges for precision rifle loads and I have an L.E. Wilson case trimmer. Other than those items I will probably stick with Lee.

my lee auto prime  looked so cheap and flimsy


and  i liked it so much....i just bought another one...for the spare parts


now  i have 2  and none have broke


i just buy those asorted shell holder kits from lee....i seem to loose them  so often when ready to load

        Yep, I picked up one of those also.  However, with Lee, you don't have to.  Unlike the other brands, Lee includes a shell holder with each set of dies.
