I'm tired of shooting ducks in Uruguay
« on: September 26, 2011, 09:39:44 AM »
Not really! ;)   Our season in Uruguay went out Sept. 15.  Great season too!  Over 2,000 ducks shot by June when I quit counting.  Last group I took was a favor to the Ranch Owner I lease from.  He asked if some family members could come up one weekend.  Family members ended up being one neice and eight of her pretty friends.  We had a ball.  Ate like hogs, drank to much red wine, horseback riding, and of course an afternoon ducking.  I took three that wanted to go.  Problem was none had ever fired a shotgun.  After a quick lesson and several boxes of shells, the girls managed 21 pintails and 3 teal.  We had grilled duck breast for supper.  You could hear me weeping from Uruguay when they left.  Made new friends.  One of the girl's father is taking me hunting this weekend at his ranch.  European boar and Axis deer.  I am excited.

What a hardship that had to be.  Way to get them on the birds and train some new shooters.
