Veral,
how much larger do you cut the diameter of a mould when it is to be used only with pure lead vs. WW when the same finished diameter is specified? thanks, patrick

About a half thousandths larger than if for straight ww alloy.  I think it wise for most customers to just specify ww, and the mold will be usable with pure lead if desired.  It will cast about  a half thousandth larger than ww if using nost #2 mixes, and  one thousandths larger than WW if using straight linotype.

In other words, when one specifies ww the worst size problem that will be encountered with most alloys is .001 oversize, which is easily sized down.   Weight does go a bit wilder than diameters though, with the rich alloys casting lighter.
