Been shopping for another centerfire rifle, might get a Remington 700 ADL.  Have been reading and seeing on You Tube, the lack of enthusiasm for the X-mark pro trigger, no problem, would probably put in an after market model as I have done on other guns.

But as I get to know the rifle, I would put off spending alot of money to see if it is a keeper.  Until the trigger can be replaced, what can I expect from the factory for a weight pull?

Thanks.

I have two of them both were 4.5 pounds out of the box. One I was able to get down to 4 pounds and the other will not adjust at all. It had the adjustment screw on the trigger almost falling out from the factory.

I won't say I'll never buy another with it but you can bet Remington will not be selling me nearly as many rifles unless they change it. I should not have to pay $960 for a rifle then have to buy an after market trigger before it's shootable.

Mine was about 3.5lbs out of the box and I got it down to 2lbs, and with no noticeable creep. Guess I got lucky.

Mine was 4.5 out of the box and got it to 3.5. Not horrible, but not a great trigger. Sure wish they would have stayed with the old Remington triggers that you could adjust correctly. My 300 RUM has a beautiful trigger for a factory unit and is at 3lbs, but much smoother and crisper than what I have from the x-mark.  But for hunting it is just fine...
