45-70 ammo

hogs are moving into my hunting area and I wanted to know what factory loaded ammo do you think would work well on a 200-300lb hog

Just about anything you can buy over the counter will work on hogs in a 45-70, but you don't have to overdo it and kill your shoulder on this side of the muzzle.
 
Hogs aren't that hard to kill with a shot placed just behind the ear or in the earhole itself, and you don't even need a passthrough.

My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.

+1 on the remington 405's they shoot extremely well in all 3 of my 45-70's

                                                              410ga
