ELK hunting Boots for Colorado Rockies...LOOKING FOR SUGGESTIONS

This October I will be going on my first Elk hunt in Colorado and I am looking for some info on what are some of the best boots to try/buy.

Danner Pronghorn. They are durable, waterproof gortex and extremlly comfortable. You can get them in insulated versions of uninsulated. I have two pairs and love em. They go for under $200.

Thanks for the info.  I've heard about the Danner Pronghorns.  So far everything I have heard is GOOD!  Thanks for the link.

I like the Danner Elk Hunter but the best and most comfortable boot I ever bought for mountain hunting was a pair of Schnee boots made in Montana. Check out their website and remember if you are using horses to get a pair that fits in the stirrup.

I don't know if you have bought your boots yet or not, but I really like the Meindl Perfekt Hunter boots sold by Cabela's.  I've worn these on two elk hunts and two backpacking trips.  Very comfortable from the get go.  Essentially zero break-in is needed to use these boots.  I have read lots of other favorable reports of others on these boots also.
